Como algun@s de vosotr@s sabéis, Evanescence es un grupo que figuraría muy arriba en mi lista de favoritos, si me pusiera a elaborarla.

Hace un par de días, navegando por esos Googles que tan bien conocemos, descubrí una página curiosa. Se trata de una iniciativa promovida por Amy Lee, vocalista y compositora de Evanescence, y que promueve la concienciación de la gente ante la epilepsia. Sí, epilepsia, esa condición que afecta a tantísimas personas en todo el mundo (incluído el hermano de Amy Lee, o figuras tan conocidas como yo mismo, por poner un par de ejemplos).

Incluyo la e-Card del programa. La web está toda en inglés, pero imagino que al menos un@s cuant@s de vosotr@s podéis leer en este idioma sin demasiados problemas.

Echadle un ojo, que siempre va bien saber algunas cosas.

Recuerda: Si te pega una vez, lo volverá a hacer. Si te dice que lo siente, tal vez sea verdad. Pero lo volverá a hacer. Si está "pasando por mucha tensión" o ha tenido "un mal día en el trabajo", que se busque una actividad para liberar ese estrés... que no conlleve pegar a otro ser vivo. Si te dice que te quiere, tal vez él/ella lo crea, pero no por eso será menos falso. Si te pega, no te quiere. Punto. Puede que te sientas sol@ frente al peligro, pero existen asociaciones dedicadas a combatir este tipo de crímen. Acude a ellas cuanto antes. Antes de que sea demasiado tarde.

Los que me conocéis sabéis que me enamoro con facilidad de la música de nuevos artistas. Me habéis tenido que aguantar con Evanescence, Within Temptation, Scissor Sisters, Mika o Lisa Lavie.

"Hojeando" perfiles en DList, hoy he ido a parar a un perfil que, la verdad, no me ha llamado especialmente la atención. Mi atención estaba, en esos momentos, colapsada con lo que sonaba de fondo.

De esa forma tan casual he descubierto la voz de Sacha Sacket.

Durante uno de esos momentos de tedio en el trabajo, me ha dado por Googlear, y he topado con esta perla, que me ha conmovido. El vídeo empieza con una breve introducción por parte de So Shihan Masayuki Kukan Hisataka, presidente de la Federación Mundial de Koshiki Karatedo, y maestro del que fue mi maestro, Luis Pérez Santiago, al que vemos a continuación ejecutando varias técnicas con el primero. Desde aquí quiero rendir un homenaje a ambos, y a la mujer de Luis, Marifé Conde, candidata al premio a la Mejor Deportista Femenina de 2007 por los usuarios de la web Burgos Deporte. No en vano sigue siendo Campeona del Mundo de Kickboxing en la modalidad de Koshiki, y el pasado octubre se hizo en Rusia con el Oro en la modalidad de Full-Contact. ¡Enhorabuena, Marifé!
