Ad...Sense?

YouTube debe andar peor de lo que parecía, si tienen que recurrir a plantarte anuncios que ocupan más del 50% de la pantalla, ocultando incluso los contenidos de sus propios menús. Y además, por lo que he podido observar, ni siquiera tienes la opción de ocultar estos anuncios, cuando sí se permite esto con los que aparecen durante la reproducción de los videos.

En fín, que estamos degenerando.

Latas

Últimamente me ha dado por comprar películas.

Estas son las que he comprado en las últimas semanas:

• Kingdom of Heaven (El Reino de los Cielos)


• Lara Croft: Tomb Raider


• Hannibal


• Red Dragon (Dragón Rojo)


• Moulin Rouge


• 21 Grams (21 Gramos)

Todas ellas salvo "Rent" son ediciones en caja metálica. Por alguna razón, estas "latas" me resultan mucho más agradables al tacto que la típica caja de plástico que estamos acostumbrados a ver (y tocar).

De momento no he tenido tiempo de visionar más que las que están tachadas en la lista. Tiempo al tiempo.

De ellas, la que más me ha impresionado ha sido, con diferencia, precisamente "Rent", basada en el musical de Jonathan Larson.

Había oído hablar del musical en varias ocasiones, e incluso tenía por casa la banda sonora, que confieso no haber escuchado en más que un par de ocasiones. Nada de ello me había preparado para lo que me he encontrado: un musical intenso, duro, pero ameno (soy de los que se duermen con muchas de las películas musicales de más éxito, y me he encontrado al final de la película, buscando todas las escenas eliminadas que contiene el DVD).

No voy a hablar más de él, porque me conozco y acabaría contando más de lo debido. Vedlo por vosotros mismos, y ya me diréis qué os ha parecido.

Y ya basta por hoy, que tengo sueñito.

Lisa - Vanishing

Más pimientos rellenos de apio.

Mientras terminaba de redactar el post anterior me he encontrado con el último video que ha colgado en su perfil de YouTube mi adorada Lisa Lavie.

Se trata de una maravillosa versión de un tema de Mariah Carey, ídolo de Lisa desde su infancia, y a la que está empezando a superar, en mi humilde opinión.

Miley vs. Lisa: The Climb

Sí, lo sé, me repito más que un plato de pimientos rellenos de apio. Este es otro post sobre Lisa Lavie.

Y una vez más, se trata de una sesión doble: versión original, y versión á la Lisa.

¿Y quién es la "víctima" esta vez? Pues el primer sorprendido he sido yo cuando he visto que, entre lo último que ha colgado la Lavie, se halla una cover de The Climb, un tema de Destiny Hope Cyrus, más conocida por su nom de guerre, Miley Cyrus, o su papel más conocido en la caja tonta: Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana. Ah, y por ser hija de Billy Ray Cyrus, el que cantaba aquello de Achy Breaky Heart.

Vaya parrafada que acabo de soltar.

Antes de juzgar, escuchaos las dos versiones. Debo decir que ambas tienen algún punto positivo, aunque mi favorita lo es con una gran diferencia.

Leo en esta noticia de VNUNet que MySpace ha decidido despedir a un tercio de sus empleados, esgrimiendo como argumento principal que la cuota de mercado de FaceBook es superior a la suya.

Leo también, con no poco asombro, que los ingresos de MySpace en 2008 supusieron más del triple (unos 1.000 millones de dólares) de los registrados por FaceBook (alrededor de 300 millones de dólares).

Ah, claro... es que, como estamos en crísis...

Como bien menciona mi queridísima Amparo en su blog, El Ministerio de Cultura español dice que no es bueno compartir.

Como pequeña anotación, quiero reseñar que, ante la propaganda mediática del Ministerio, "las asociaciones de internautas, blogs y otros colectivos ciudadanos relacionados con la Red" han refutado el decálogo de "mentiras sobre el P2P", punto por punto.
